The Making of a Tradition…
The Grow and Give Back Holiday Drive is the flagship event of The GiveJoy Foundation. This event, which started in 2008 with around 50 students, has grown and impacted thousands of children in the Brazos Valley, and has now expanded to the greater Austin area. It provides families with a full holiday experience that includes $100 worth of gifts for each child and a freshly prepared holiday meal for their family. The highlight of the event is the opportunity for volunteers, school staff, and the greater community to build authentic relationships with the families and children in their community. Through the joy of shopping, wrapping, and delivering gifts, participants are awakened and renewed to the spirit of giving while building a better community.
In 2023, the event will cover 1,000 students across Central Texas! We are seeking volunteers and partners to help us reach our goal. The event is scheduled for December 9th from 8 AM - 3 PM with event stations in Bryan, TX and Austin, TX.
